Varsity Football Defeats Lexington at Wildcat Hollowvarsity-football

Congratulations to the varsity football team on their 17-14 win over Lexington on October 28, 2016 to move to 5-4 on the year.  Maurice Jones rushed for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Timberwolves on offense while Sam Hayes and Ricky Homes led the way up front.  Josue Hernandez made a 41 yard field goal, which was the difference in the game, as well as averaged 42 yards per punt with 2 downed inside the 20.

On defense, Dalton Deans and Shaheem Haltiwanger were stellar up front while  Brandon Serio had an interception, 13 tackles and a tackle for loss.  Jacob Chavis blocked a field goal in the third quarter to preserve the lead for the Timberwolves

On Thursday night, October 27, the JV team won their season finale over Lexington 41-7.  The Timberwolves were led on offense by Bruce Staley who rushed for 253 yard on only 15 carries and had 2 touchdowns.  Jajuan Johnson had a 50 yard punt return as well as a 60 yard reception for touchdown while playing every down at safety on defense.  Aveon Smith rushed and threw for a score.  On defense, Joel Rogers had 3 interceptions and Keenan Hughey had a sack and two tackles for loss.  The JV finished the year 7-1 and now has put together a three year record of 23-2.
The B team closed out the year with a tough 23-20 loss to rival Lexington on Thursday, October 27.  Jamias Holloway had an interception he returned 68 yards for a score and he later tossed a 56 yard touchdown to Keon Middleton.  Hayden Liafsha capped the scoring on a long touchdown pass from Jaelin Gray.  The B team Wolves finish the year 3-6 and played hard all year.
